Hello!
As with many artists, I’ve experimented with many different types of art and crafts over the years. It wasn’t until I took a beginning mosaic class at my local community college, that I found a medium that impassions me. At the end of that first course, I was well and truly hooked on creating mosaic art.
I immersed myself in the world of mosaics and became a sponge for learning different methods and techniques. My husband and son set up a studio for me in our home and I have not stopped making mosaics since.
My preferred material is stained glass because I love the colors, textures and striations available. That said, I continue to explore other materials to add interest and texture to my art. No matter if I am making art for indoors or outdoors, the materials I use are of the highest quality and each piece of art is made to last indefinitely.
Making mosaic art is a slow and intense process, as there are many steps involved. I hand cut all my glass and though I have a master plan for each project, I allow for spontaneity and create the details and flow as I work. With each new project I raise my personal bar and challenge myself to achieve a new method or technique.
The process and outcome of making mosaic art gives me immense satisfaction. If you are interested in purchasing one of my pieces or would like something special designed just for you, please contact me. I will also consider charitable donations.
